Rodeo Weekend

Rodeo Weekend in Paducah was a blast for the kids. The weather was very yucky but that didn't stop the kids from having fun in the Stick Horse Rodeo. We couldn't believe that both girls actually braved the arena on their own!! They were full of charm and oh so cute! Charlotte went out and basically stood there and waved to the crowd while she flashed her sweet smile and Claire pranced around proudly. They were definitely two princesses maybe better suited for a pageant but their Daddy says next year we are going to practice and sweep the two and three year old division with Everett in there too! The kids also liked visiting the horses. Well...their cousins liked visiting the horses. Claire wouldn't go near it and Charlotte stayed in the car and when we asked her if she wanted to pet the horse she shouted, "No...shut the door!!"

Movie Madness

One might call my mom and I crazy, but over Spring Break, we took Brayden, Bella, Nicholas, Charlotte, and Claire to the movies! The girls had never seen a movie and I hadn't been since before they were born so I was definately up for it. We took them to see The Princess and the Frog. Charlotte sat in her lap and watched the whole thing and Claire basically stayed at my feet the whole time and ate candy. The other kids were well behaved and it turned out to be a great day!

Valentine's Day

The girls really got into Valentine's Day this year. They got cards(with Nerd candies attached) to give to all their friends and had a party at school. I think the best thing about it for them was looking through their cards and candy when they got home and having us tell them which friend each one was from.

Snow Day

We had a fun time on our snow day. We stayed inside and played and then Kristin and the girls ventured out into the snow. They loved it (of course I was nervous about them trying to eat the snow!)

Everett's Birthday

Everett's birthday was a bright spot in a very dreary week. We had just found out that Dad didn't have much time left and were all heartbroken. However, we wanted to celebrate Everett and his first year with us. He has been such a blessing to our family and is the sweetest little boy I've ever known (Kristin would not like me to say that he is sweet but he is!!) Everett loved his first taste of cake and his sisters and cousins gave him plenty of help eating it!
